looking forward
Following graduation from the UMD graduate architecture program I aspire to become part of a team-based design firm as a junior project manager. My exposure to all project roles within design development and construction management during my professional experience in a small office has prepared me for this professional position. Additionally, my completion of the IDP program and graduate education has fully prepared me for the challenges of project leadership. I will begin the Architectural Registration Examination (ARE) immediately following graduation and I anticipate gaining my licensure by early 2014.
I am interested in continuing my professional career with a forward-thinking design firm who values a fresh perspective. I will fit best at a firm that leverages industry-leading BIM technology. I would also be a valuable asset to a firm looking to transition into a BIM-based design methodology because of my experience in making this transition in a professional office. Most importantly, I am interested in being part of a collaborative team environment who values exceptional design and serves to create a sustainable future in the built environment.
